Utah Performance Center

The Utah Performance Center on Main is a Broadway-style theater built to host the biggest and most sophisticated productions. The facility will be constructed on the site of the old Newspaper Agency Corp. building at 135 South Main and will accommodate major productions with an anticipated seating capacity of approximately 2,500.
The selected site was announced by Mayor Ralph Becker's office October 16, 2008 and will also host special performances from existing performing arts organizations including the Utah Opera, Ballet West and other musical and comedy acts.
The Utah Performance Center on Main will serve as an anchor for the Arts and Culture District and draw visitors from throughout the intermountain west, further enhance the arts and culture in our state and strengthen our capital city.
